Driven by years of hands-on experience, Leggera baseball gloves were created by former sporting goods specialist Harashima-san after researching and shaping thousands of gloves from leading manufacturers. Through testing 60-100 different models himself, he discovered how subtle differences in leather, color, and construction dramatically affect performance and feel.
Inspired to create the ideal glove, Harashima founded Leggera — named after the Italian word for “light.” Central to Leggera gloves is premium Finnish Ayrshire leather from Juteru Leather Company in Saitama Prefecture, chosen for its exceptional firmness, resilience, and signature crisp catching sound.
